Just noticed there is a thread on Mayweather's undefeated record so i thought i'd do a similar one with Calzaghe. What other SMW's in history do you think could go through Calzaghe's 46-0 record undefeated?

He only had a small handful of legitimate fights. Their are three dozen MW's and lhw's that would walk through the first 10 years of his career.

Gotta agree with this one (Hearns could have if he did not wait until way past his prime to fight in that division). SMW is such a shallow division that there are not many names and the ones that fought there had the bulk of their careers elsewhere. I think the top ten LHW and MW would probably make threw his record as well.

If Ward or anyone else for that matter takes on the same low level of opposition as Calslappy then they too will retire undefeated.

Jones would have taken Kessler to school on his prime.

...and he beat a younger Hopkins!

Well jones took on part timers and was unscathed stepped it up and lost...

Calzaghe wanted Hopkins who backed out in 2002 Taylor also hid behind the $ after Calzaghe beat Manfredo as it was Taylor the winner was suppose to fight but alas taylor ran., Ottke was scared **** of calzaghe and with political backing Ottke screwed Brewer, Mitchell and Reid and only after losing to Ottke did they want to fight Calzaghe( I guess they thought Ottke was the easier of the 2 but no not with Political medling on Ottke`s side) Echols pulled out of fighting Calzaghe and so kid fire filled the gap. Veit is very underated. Calzaghe fought his mandatorys. But most of the so called top guys wanted nothing to do with him until they had less to lose. Props to Lacy and Kessler for fighting Calzaghe in their primes.

Some say Ward would beat Calzaghe?? thats bull****!! Calzaghe would put far too much pressure on ward constantly with his workrate and variety of punches and wear him down and whatever plan Ward tries calzaghe would adapt. Ward is good but wheres his heart?? in Joakland??? When is he gonna fight on equal terms???? He only entered the super six on the condition he had all his fight oakland, but had to compromise when it came to the final but hey it was still in america.

Im sick of critics who drag Joes name saying he never fought abroad Hopkins and Jones can be dragged along as easily too.

46-0. at the rate floyd was fighting, he would need another 4 years of careful picking of opponents to surpass calzaghe.

I dont see how Kessler even gets near Jones.

Ward took him apart, and Jones to my mind was better in his prime than Ward.
