Pudwill and Sobot were subs, ok.

and Manfredo was to help Calzaghe (a champ for almost 10 years who had also beaten the finest SMW America produced at the time) to get American exposure, ok.

and another Calzaghe opponent was a gimme, dont know what a gimme is but ok.

And a Calzaghe fight falls through, just like it fell through when Calzaghe pulled out when about to get in the ring with tough powerful high workrate Glen Johnson.

So Calzaghe's legacy at SMW from the sounds of things are against late substitutes, gimme's, and ghost opponents that he never fought because things fell through.

 More proof Calzaghe's SMW WBO reign of terror was a comedy scene.

Last bit of pwnage for now:-

Calzaghe fought Sakio Bika on the 14th of October 2006, here is the IBF rankings for that day:-

    http://assets.ibf-usba-boxing.com/ratings/IBF11m.pdf

As you can see, Sakio Bika is not even in the top 15, while Carl Froch is rated at #8.

Sakio Bika's best win to date (14/10/06) was a nobody, his fight with Beyer was stopped because of a headbutt where he was losing on one card, and lost to Sam Soliman. Froch had beaten Magee and was the British and Commonwealth SMW champ. It is clear to reasonable boxing fans, as well as the boxing organisations Froch was a better fighter than Sakio Bika at the time, and is one at the moment.

Not really sure what the relevance was of this post by you? But you admit now that Froch meant down the line and wasnt wanting the fight then. It only took you around 30 times of reading the line over and over.
Still as you highlighted those bits, for some reason, why not answer the rest :huh.
Seems you obviously found you couldnt answer and are now just running out of ideas

Here is you claiming Froch said "no".

But after I schooled you on the topic you now admit that Froch did want a Calzaghe fight. It took a while for you to accept that Calzaghe wanted the fight, but eventually it got through that skull, well done.:good

So Calzaghe also likes to fight "easy match ups", I already knew that when he was fighting the likes of Ashira instead of Froch

So that is what a gimme

Maybe if Johnson was a "gimme" Calzaghe would not have hesitated in fighting Johnson, or even pulling out of the fight. But Johnson was no "gimme".

Don't forget he fought Pudwill, Salem, Thornberry, Ashira, Sobot, Giminez, Luciano Torres, Jiminez, Manfredo, McIntyre, Mkrtchyan, whose full name was actually Mger Mkrtchyan, and Mario Veit.

Froch was rated higher than Bika by all boxing organisations, if the link doesnt work try getting a PDF viewer or just vist the IBF website here is the link:-

    http://www.ibf-usba-boxing.com/

You can view it from there.

Froch was seen as the better fighter, had beaten better fighters and had won better boxing silverware. Also Froch was not losing fights to boxers like Sam Solimon, and Froch was a proper SMW while Bika had moved up from the lower divisions.

Well here is you claiming Froch did not want a Calzaghe fight:-

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/showpost.php?p=13251969&postcount=138

But now you accept Froch wanted the fight "down the line". Which is an improvement since you are now getting closer to the truth.

Froch wanted it at 13-0, but said probably next year which was more reasonable at the time.

Froch said if he had a title, Calzaghe wouldnt swerve him. Here is what Froch said:-

"I don't think Calzaghe will fight me unless I put a meaningful title on the line but if I get one of the major belts he could not swerve me.

Calzaghe had a title, Froch wanted a title, Calzaghe did not want to give Froch a shot but was more than happy giving shots to Sobot, Pudwill, Thornberry, Salem, Ashira, Bika, Manfredo, Veit, McIntyre, Mkrtchyan, Jimenez and Gimenez.

So you admit Johnson was no gimme, maybe if he was a gimme Calzaghe would have fought him, but Calzaghe did not which is a proven fact.

But still wanted no part of Carl Froch.

Your welcomed, have a nice vacation.
