    When was Jones' prime?

joe is definitely famous now - after Strictly Come Dancing.

And that's because he made headlines for cheatbeating on his wife whist bedding his dance partner during coke fests.

In the ring Calzaghe beat Hopkins and Jones, and Froch beat Taylor and Johnson - the rest is just talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and.......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

no, on your face, in a group-**** it would seem as your video has been pointed out as crap by several third parties currently emptying their bladders on your head alongside Joe Cal.

Eubank said himself he didn't need to fight Roy because it was suicide and he was getting great money fighting average fighters in the UK.

Roy tried to make the fight with Dariusz. Roy was P4P1 and held every single belt barring Dariusz's. Why should Roy travel to Germany when he was the man? Why didn't Dariusz go to America? Probably the same reason Eubank never; IE he was getting great money at home + barely anyone had heard of Dariusz in the U.S (barring the hardcore fans).

Roy and Nigel was a hard fight to make because Roy didn't want to tie in with Don King at the time. Nigel losing to Malinga didn't help neither.

Roy was meant to fight Rocchigiani instead of Telesco in 2000 but Rocky backed out.

Erm, probably from around when he schooled P4P ranked James Toney at SMW, moved up and unified LHW belts, was the consensus P4P number 1 for about 6 years and even moved up to heavyweight to win a title in the process.

Meanwhile Joe Calzaghe was fighting the likes of Tocker Pudwill.

Jones beat Calzaghe anytime before the move up to heavyweight. 9-3 kind of a fight. Joe himself doesn't think he could of beat Roy in his prime. He said so in many interviews which is rare for a fighter.

Well it wouldn't really be much of a fair fight. By the time Calzaghe had gained some experience Jones was already a LHW. A prime Calzaghe still probably would have been more competitive than most of the opponents a prime Jones fought though.

You are looking at Jones, but you are not looking at the opponent. That's the most glaring difference in both fights

I'm not questioning his popularity in his country, that would be foolish and absurd. Even though in England you can still find people that won't even recognize him nor know who the hell he is.

Generally and globally, he's virtually unknown and unheard of. I'll continue to insist that because it's the truth. How many casual fans in general know who this guy is?. You can't seriously insist that he's generally recognized because he is not. Even when he comes out with an interview or personal comment in public, it's quickly ignored and many times left unnoticed and unreported.

even Emmanuel Steward said that Calzaghe would have given Jones problems at any point in his career. Not saying Calzaghe would have won, but it would not have been a typical walk in the park for prime RJJ

Pretty much anytime between about 1993 and 2003 is just about golden.

Well he's about as known in foreign countries as a competitor in his sport would be expected to be known.

I would expect almost any boxing fan to recognise him. I don't really know what it is you mean, or what you're after with this.

its joes late rally that would give roy problems. as roy tires in round 11/12 after pinpoint hitting joes face all night, joe can rally bloody and battered with his superior stamina to throw lots of punches, that invariably largely miss.

roy would need to find a way to cope with this late rally, like walking through joes inaccurate pitter patter for instance.

also joe not being in the ring, by not turning up until 10 years had transpired, would invariably give roy lots of problems.
