joe can also give roy lots of problems in booking his flights to Cardiff, by repeatedly pulling out of the fight the night before by feigning injuries (and then the following week fighting tocker pudwill again)
yet another problem prime joe can give roy is by joe nicking doc browns time machine, going back to roys old primary school and then beating pre- adolescent roy up, whilst showboating sxually to his stunned primary school audience and then whooping with joy for his victory afterwards.
How have they told me im wrong. Who dissected the video and pointed out the differences. Nobody. Still great duck again :good
Eubank in a face to face interview (with RJJ/Cal/Collins) said himself he wouldn't want to fight RJ in his prime lol
Unfortunately your expectations are proven false. Boxing fans in general, specifically the casuals, don't know who he is. I'm not after anything, I'm just telling you the truth that Calzaghe is hardly known. Even he, in the documentary "No Average Joe", admits to it and blames FrankW. FrankW on the other hand openly claims he did provide Joe with countless opportunities but it was Joe who decided he can't travel due to his air sickness. As a global figure and name he's hardly known nor recognized, that's just reality.
The old 'blame my promoter' trick :hey Promoters are there to make money, ***** would have done all he could do secure big money fights for Calzaghe (and his own cut as well).
Of course, that's every promoter's primal goal. However, it isn't exactly easy to promote someone that is air-sick but only recovers from the air-sickness when certain targeted opponents are senior citizens or at least 5 years past their primes.
A fighter who is genuinly after greatness craves and chases the big fights asap. Not wait until the guys are 40+ years old. Most greats, give rematches. Calzaghe, scores an SD over Hopkins and then on top of that refuses a rematch. And this guy is great? The immortal words 'I dont do rematches'.
Fully agree. His entire career is a joke. You know, unless severely drunk, there's a serious problem going on when someone 40 fights(Calzaghe) rolls on the floor in disbelief, tears and comical comments such as "Daddy!, he doesn't punch hard as they say!, daddy!, we're winning!" for beating someone with 20 fights(Lacy). Oh and trust me, if Lacy and Kessler didn't decide to travel both those fights wouldn't have happened either. If you want to dominate a division the very first thing you aim for is unification. He held on to the WBO title(a vacant title he won beating a shot to nothingness Eubank) and cruised away. The fact that people rarely know who he is should say enough about him and his career.
Hes the Welsh Chris John, the Welsh Sven Ottke. Youtube Calzaghe KO Specialist and thats all you need to know. I remember when Hopkins asked him 'who've you beat?' Calzaghe says 'i beat Kessler'. Hopkins just laughed.
