I think that Jake, would be easy pickings for Calzaghe, just because Jake's style is the style Calzaghe excels against.

    Yeah.

However, I would love to pick Jake here. But it just wouldn't happen.

 A guy who took Bob Satterfield best shots would get stopped by Joe Calzaghe? Remind me again how many great fighter Joe has stopped?

    The referee would stop it.

This fight would be humiliating for LaMotta.

Only if it was the same ref from the Manfredo fight. Otherwise no way will Joe stop LaMotta he doesn't have close to the power required to stop a prime Jake.

    Calzaghe wide UD.

    9-3 or 10-2 in rounds.

Tough to call, since there isn't footage of a prime LaMotta. People watch Raging Bull or fights of an aging LaMotta and think LaMotta was some skill-less plodder with no D and a lot of power, but he was known as a crafty guy who used his upper body well to avoid shots and rolled with them. I think it was Joe Louis who called him "Slippery Jake".

 at Calzaghe stopping LaMotta. LaMotta had arguably the greatest chin ever.

Another bloody good matchup mates however on this one I'm going to have to go with Lamotta KO3. Calzaghe will do a great job of blocking punches with his face and getting floored repeatedly until Enzo throws in the towel Gary Lockett style..Overall great matchup!! Joe makes a great showing of himself despite Lamotta laughing at Joes slaps....Great fight!!

lamotta was a warrior (unlike Joe) and even tho calzaghe would have an obvious style advantage IMO lamotta would make enough adjustments to make it a rough fight and with old school refereeing i could see lamotta being able to win by landing a lot more hurtful punches compared to a bunch of sissy feather fisted shots from calzaghe
