i understand the brits of the love they have for calzaghe but stop being delusional..i mean why be delusional up to this point when we are all talking about brits? This is no US vs. euro thing. Why discredit lewis? Because it is damn clear lewis is the best british boxer

Better resume's, better opponents, etc etc, better natural talent with more mad skills than Joe...dont think so, to beat Joe ya gotta knock him out stone cold, otherwise he find a way, he would have beat Benn / Eubank / Collins in their prime... p4p Lewis too....

Talk about opposition, listen such are the times, put any SM in front of him and he do his thing, simple as.

The real difference between Calzaghe and Buchanan is that Ken was not afraid to fight in someone elses backyard.

Great champions?? Kessler, an aged Hopkins, and Eubank prime for the picking...please!! :-(

Its not like Joe didnt look for some big fights both Hopkins (4-6 years ago) and RJJ have admitted to turning down Joe.

Losing to a prime(or green, whatever way you look at it) Duran is no embarrasment. wasn't there a low blow in the mix there anyway?

    KB was a beautiful boxer

Joe Calzaghe is Frank Warren's greatest product, and the perfect illustration of the problem caused by having multiple 'world champions'. For a boxing fan to put JC's achievments on a par with some of the greatest fighters ever, is quite possibly an indication of either that fan's susceptibilty to marketing, or their long running loyalty to the fighter.
It's not as if you even have to look far to see other Brits who outshine him. Look at Lewis' career, or the work in progress that is the career of David Haye. Joe's career bares no resemblence to either, and for my money no Frank Warren fighter ever will - it's just the way he does business.

I hate Warren, but he makes limited fighters millionaires.. that has to be respected i think.

It is a shame though when one of his fighters with genuine talent is held back from greatness

good point dunky, and his performance in the rematch when he was still giving sugar ray all the trouble he could handle till he walked into a huge right hand wasn't bad either.

As a consumer, my primary interest is in the product though, not the profit margins of the company.
