yeah, considering he beat Calzaghe - even the corner believed the fight was over heading into the 12th - and then got robbed

not a surprise that the only elite fighter who wasn't shot in Calzaghe's career exposed him

Now you and I both know Hopkins embarrassed himself with that fight. Doing a HORRIBLE acting job trying to get point deductions on Joe. Desperately trying! Calzaghe outboxed him. Period

his corner said otherwise heading into rd 12 - "It's over" "what are you doing" "you gotta stop him" "you've GOT to stop him"

definitely not someone trying to just motivate and keep the fighter alert

    46-0 :clown:clown:asskiss Deal With It:good

Hopkins resorted to acting tactics that failed. Got edged out in a close fight. Then went on to school world class fighters and win belts. Over the hill my a*s.

Calzaghe was not overrated. He made Hopkins look like a fool in Hopkins' own turf............

Its funny how some on here keep mentioning how he stayed in Wales, which as the champ you decide ala PBF and Ward.
As for him fighting bums I challenge anyone here to take on any of his opponents in his career and see how they fare.
He is not in the top 50 for me, and would be hard to place him higher than 60 because of his undefeated multi title defenses.

Very good post! The list of those doctors should be written down by a few on here. They have OBSESSIONS with fighters and posting negative sh*t about them. It makes me enjoy those fighters victories even more knowing it's ruining these sick f**ks day.:yep

You have only been a member since 2012 in 2006 95 out of 100 people here picked Lacy to destry Calzaghe. People were posting pics of coffins and everything.

You're not wrong. I've been around here a long time and seen more loonies pass through here than I care to remember, but I still find myself shaking my head at how bat**** crazy and mentally deranged and obsessed some of them are. lol

I liked the way Joe Calzaghe dominated Jeff Lacy.

its weird that Joe made lacy look so bad, yet without lacy, joe's career would have continued to wbo-worthless with meaningless weakling subnational level defences.

lacy was joes first real step at age 34 to being active on world level, a long way behind guys like froch and khan.

I agree with just about all all Cyrax has said on Calzaghe. The guy was an over-protected disgrace that mostly feasted on bums. I still think, though, he would have beaten Ward in convincing fashion. I just can't see Ward coping with Calzaghe's work-rate, stamina and awkwardness for 12 rounds.

That's the shame about Joe; he never proved himself at the highest level.
