Marciano's heaviest weight ever was 194 on fight night, he actually was in the 180's most of his career and could have easily made LHW. Just imagining Joe in there against someone like Ezzard Charles or Archie Moore, it's hilarious. Those guys would laugh at his slaps, and then proceed to knock him out cold. If Joe went and fought a prime Holyfield at CW, he'd be knocked out in 2 rounds maximum, if Holyfield was feeling generous that night. As for Marciano, he threw just as many punches as Joe. The difference is his weren't slaps, they were knock your skull off blows. Just imagine what one Suzie Q right on Joe's chin, who has been floored half a dozen times, would do to him.

I know there are some people who are so obsessed with Joe that they are nearly delusional, ala bailey being the most obvious example on here, but I never knew they could be that stupid....

jeff lacy first ever titleholder he ever faced

    after having 20 "defenses"

In a division where there was another champ who was unified -> who also had 20 defenses

    Pathetic

His resume sucks because of his career pattern of ducking fighters like Pavlik, Froch, and Ward. They are younger than him so he won't make a come back to fight them when they get older.

You are right though. There are so many bums in England that Calzaghe given a free boast to help their moral.:yep

Are there any other fighters who's fans claim to be an all time great, who spent a large proportion of their career in the same division as a guy on the level of Sven Ottke, never fought him, fought his leftovers instead and to top it all off was actually ranked behind him?

Oh boy, I love hearing the Calzaghe fanboys trumping on about what an amazing win Jeff Lacy was. Supposedly all the Americans thought he was "the next Tyson" and "the next great thing." HBO said stupid **** to build him up, like they always do, but not a single damn person who knew anything believed Lacy was some amazing fighter. Of course you get to hear their bull**** about how Calzaghe ruined a guy who was destined to be great, destroyed him supposedly :patsch It must be really hard to be a Calzaghe fanboy, having to find such desperate ways to pretend he was some all time great

OK, just for a laugh, how does Calzaghe do against the following:

    Ezzard Charles

    Archie Moore

    Michael Spinks

    Bob Foster

    Roy Jones

    Rocky Marciano

    Cruserweight Holyfield

    :pop

Edit: What the hell, seeing as you said within 30lbs, lets really go for it and throw young Muhammad Ali and a trim Joe Frazier in there to.

Ward and froch weren't on world level when Joe retired. Nice try.
