Joe Cortez in the Hall of Fame!?!?

He's tough but firm.

 

Although I still think it's a big deal when fighters are inducted, some of the non-fighters they let in are embarrassing.

They day the inducted Jose Suliaman, part of me died inside.

 

hes a piece of ****, but hes been around a long time and reffed a lot of orld title fights, i hate to say it but even less worthy people have been entered. why the **** arent I in the hall of fame if sly is?

 

Cortez is a big ref...I don't see why that is a problem.
But my god Sylvester Stallone???? Shame.

Does that mean that Mark Walburg gets in too?

Cortez is not that bad of a ref. He has refed countless championship bouts and I feel there are worse than him. I believe he deserves to be inducted, but are you serious about Sylvester Stallone?

no good for a hatton or ward fight tho

 

He is both unfair and infirm. But he's as famous as a ref tends to get. Infamous too.

Cortez has been in the game a long time and has reffed many high profile fights...but I find he over officiates and involves himself way too much in a fight. I'd rather see Steve Smoger get in the HOF over Cortez. Smoger is a fighter's ref... he lets guys fight, he's fair and he doesn't stop fights too early.
