    No, his steady bad work over the last few years has made Cortez a poor ref.

    He's a shot ref, the equivalent of Holyfield as a fighter.

    Okay, one is a ref and one is a fighter.

    But Cortez has become a lousy ref in the last few years after a long time of being a solid ref.

    perhaps, but the fact is, his performance in the hatton fight was good. that he broke up clinches that were just clinches and didn't involve anything like boxing (i.e. punching), whether or not pbf was initiating them, was a good call.
