    I dont know why Ortiz didnt protest the decision to have Cortez ref this fight. He sucks! He's probably the absolute worst ref to have for this type of fight. Its going to be a very physical fight and Cortez doesnt even allow inside fighting! I've seen him break up fighters mid punch while fighting on the inside. This is not good for Ortiz. :patsch

    I agree, Cortez and Nady, However Cortez did allow for Hatton to make it a ruff fight for Floyd, But did nothing about the Elbow of Mayweather the entire night he just warned Floyd but took nothing from him after dozens of warnings...

    Cortez is a disgrace to his own People......

    You never know with Cortez, he let Hopkins hold against Calzaghe and let him off lightly for head use

    A fight of this magnitude and clash of styles needs a ref like Smoger or Bayless. Cortez is garbage.

    Just like it was Floyd vs Hatton referee wont have anything to do with Floyds win, floyd is ******* away from the ring but inside he is great and he will school Ortiz no matter who is third man in the ring!!!

    Horrible choice of ref for a big fight, not sure what anyone was thinking unless the powers that chose him chose him cuz they will have him in their pocket.

    Should have went with Bayless.

    Yes he did Hatton just didnt know what to do when he got inside alls hatton brought was his wresteling game.

    Whether it will or not doesnt matter. He's not a fair and balanced ref. Like I said, he doesnt allow for inside fighting. I'm not talking about clinching either. I've seen him break up fighters mid punch while throwing on the inside. He's the worst ref for this style matchup.

    Seriously Ricky couldnt do **** against Floyd dont blame that on Cortez, what Cortez did fail to do in that fight was take points from Floyd for the elbow but other than that, there was nothing Ricky brought that gave him a chance to win that fight he had the wrong game plan.....

    Live with it... its not like Cortez is the reason Ricky lost the reason Ricky lost is becuase Mayweather is better than he is.

    Nobody said he wasnt, all around Floyd is better in terms of skill than is Ortiz, Again what makes this fight interesting is that its the first time Floyd decided to fight a full welterweight in his prime....
