hatton doesnt fight inside , he holds and hit that needs to be broken up and it was, it was only good old UK tv that thought otherwise :yep
Hey, you never know. For as much as Floyd talks about cheating going on in boxing, who's to say a nice sized envelope isnt handed to Cortez to ref the fight in a biased way?
Obviously this man thinks Ricky has what it takes to beat Mayweather but since Cortez helped Floyd thats why Ricky went on a cocaine binge and ****ed off the rest of his career... you can not expect a beer drinking guy like Hatton who baloons himself up to cruiserweight inbetween fights to even be competative with the top P4P fighters in todays sport and reality busted Hatton on the chin in back to back losses against the top two fighters of the sport.
You shouldve seen the Uk coverage of that fight- crying foul and scoring rounds to hatton which consisted of floyd timing him coming in over and over
It was alright for Hopkins to hold and hit or just hold. I agree Hatton held to much and never agreed with alot of what he did. Cortez was shouting break very quickly but I had no real prob with it, but then when Calzaghe fought Hopkins the same Cortez allowed lots of holding
Floyd was fouling with his elbow I agree with that, But Ricky brought Zero to the fight i mean seriously it was clear he had not even a clue as to how to go about making it a fight... And some how I am ****ed up for stating the truth:-(
Cortez is the ultimate 'homer' referee. His contrary reffing of Hatton - Mayweather and then Hopkins - Calzaghe soon after is iron-clad proof that he doesn't know what impartiality is.
This is bad news for boxing fans. I have seen Cortez break up fighters when clean body work is being done. He seems to think any infighting is not allowed in boxing.
Cortez shouldn't be allowed to referee a Kimbo Slice fight, let alone a big PPV event in Las Vegas. **** him and his "fair, but firm" bull****.
