    He did hit him slightly on the top of the head, but Cortez had already tried to stop it then - awful refereeing.

    I have said this for a LONG time. Cortez sucks. He involves himself WAY too much in the fights. Horrible job tonight.

    Absolutely ****ing disgraceful, both from Lorenzo pulling his Oscar-worthy crap and Cortez & the officials falling for it.

    This is bull****.

    Cortez was moving in to stop it, then changed his mind, then Lorenzo bugged out of there of his own volition, then Soto threw a punch which didn't appear to land (grazed him at worse).

    ****ing disgraceful.

    It is outragous. He just lost concentration on the fight. In another profession this might be forgivable, but a boxing referee needs to maintain concentration period.

    I hope there is a real outcry against this because things like this ruin boxing, imagine something like this happened in an even bigger fight? Terrible and insulting to boxing, Joe Cortez is awful at best.
