Joe Cortez needs to be Fired!!!

Worst than the call was the conference Cortez decided to have before making an official call. Can you imagine someone like Bayless being so indecisive? As far as the call, its true that it was illegal because the fighter was indeed down, but it was obviously accidental and not intentional. Thumbs down to an over rated Cortez and to Lorenzo for trying to act as if that grazing glove swipe gave him a spinal cord injury.

 

Cortez was so ****en lost in this match. He pulled them off for no reason and didn't know wtf was going on. What a ****en ref.

the guy has it in for mexican fighters, this is not the first time he has shown favoritism towards any fighter facing a mexican. a puerto rican showing bias against mexicans, imagine that.

Blatant robbery, Cortez is hopeless. I really feel for Soto though, he put on a great performance only to be robbed of world title by incompetent officiating. After this disgrace I never want to see Cortez referee a major fight again.

 

It really was disgusting. Cortez should be fined and the decision should be changed to a TKO victory for Soto.
