    C'mon why all the complaints, Joe Cortez will do the same bang-up job he did for Mayweather-Hatton :yep Can't be any worse the Cooper was, can he?

    Cortez needs to retire but the first ref was crap- tripping up peterson etc
    Peterson seems to have no objection to Cortez so he can't complain after the fight

    I would like Peterson to win, he has behaved very professionally and with integrity. Khan has been the opposite. This being said, I see Khan taking this one seriously and will get a the decision. Afterwards he will talk about how justice was done and call out Mayweather. I hope I'm wrong.

    Look at Laz chirpin in str8 away. Anyway, Lamonts stupid if he lets Cortez ref this and it's his own fault if he does let him.

    Hated cortez even before the mayweather/ortiz thang. He's a terrible ref & thinks he's just as big as the fighters fighting.

    Oh dear why can't Cortez retire It's amazing he still gets fights after the Maywether-Hatton Soto-Lorenzo and god knows how many more.

    I called this in the fight aftermath. The only difference between Khan vs Maidana and Khan vs Peterson was that the ref actually did something about Khan's persistent and blatant fouling. GBP are a disgrace and Khan is a one dimensional Glass Jawed Fraud.

    Not a hope in hell will Cortez leg up one of the fighters within the first minute of the opening bell.....the ref in the first fight could only have been more of a clown if he had worn a big red nose and circled the ring on a unicycle

    Maybe, but he has probably gone down in pugilistic history as the only ref ever to deduct points for that particular offence.

    Over the last 5 or 6 years my opinion of Cortez has dropped.

    How he is still in charge of such big fights is a mystery to me.
