we must have been watching a different fight. . Cortez broke them up everytime they tied around each other.

give it up dude. . hatton got his ass beat because Mayweather is the better fighter. .just let it go and put some cold ice on that sore ass

 He let them tie up for ages continuously.
Cortez jumped in everytime they clinched in the PBF v Hatton fight.
Imagine if Hatton had gone in with his head so much like Hopkins.
If Hatton had fought like Hopkins did tonight he would have been DQ'd.
I don't think anyone can deny that.

I'm not saying Hatton would have won.
Maybe it would have been a little closer.
My point is Cortez favoured Hopkins' style tonight in his refereeing but was the compete opposite for the Hatton fight for some odd reason

It wouldn't have been any closer...Cortez doesnt jump in front of Floyd's hook and eat that punch for Hatton.

Cortez was...well fair and firm this fight.

He takes a point for Calzaghe "low blows" and the fight is different.

I agree. Why all the crying, the right guy won, Cortez did a good job, and he was the same as he was in the Hatton fight.

Cortez looked different tonight maybe a little gun shy after the Hatton fight.
I noticed the same in the Pacman fight.

    How is that even true?

Hatton was getting tagged proficiently the two rounds before the TKO. It just wasn't going to happen. Hatton was going to get knocked out that not.

Cortez was 10000x better tonight than Hatton/Floyd. He could've bought the Hopkins low blow BS and started deducting points like a dumber ref would've done.

    :good

It was noted that cortez was under heavy pressure from roger mayweather in the hatton fight, he was shouting from the corner about hattons tactics etc allegedly this seemed to affect cortez. I was not a fan of his tonight either he is scared to punish the 'name' in these fights. Unfortunately the 'name' is usually an american.

selective memory. you conveniently overlook the fact that cortez let hatton hug as much as could against castillo.

    Yup.:thumbsup

But it didn't make too much difference there, as Castillo was well past his best days.
