    Matchroom are leading the way in terms of testing. They have VADA testing for Hitchins vs Zepeda and McCaskill vs Ryan in the US, plus all their other top fights in the UK.

    Kownacki fight is NC, not that it changes anything. Not keen on seeing his heartbroken wife watch him get mauled again.

    He got iced by Dubois and then he looked a much improved fighter when he upset Kownacki. Granted Dubois hits extremely hard and much harder than Kownacki does but I do recall thinking to myself at the time that he looked better than I remembered him looking.

    Many believe this what the PEDs/roids can do for a fighter. Take Roy for example. Look at how good he looked when he was juicing and then compare that version to the clean version we saw against Johnson, Tarver, Green, Super Joe, Enzo, Lebedev etc.

    Kownacki took a beating in that, god damn steroid cheats. Boxing might not as well test because they do nothing about it. 3 years should be a mando ban, but then you got big name fighter pretty much weaseling out of any punishment.

    Why do the results of these tests always come after a fight?

    Because the test was taken after the fight if you read it…
    This was a mandatory test by the commission. But outside of this Matchroom do more VADA testing than all of the other promoters. Hearn has said he wants to step up VADA testing and will do so for all his main events and big fights from now on. It’s time other promoters follow suit in the UK and US.

    So what does someone like Kownacki get out of this? Puts his health in danger and gets nothing to show for it after.

    In addition to some lengthy ban, there should be a stipulation that Cusumano (or anyone caught doping post fight) has to forfeit their purse to the other fighter. Its a risk to fighter's safety and there should be some compensation outside of the fight moving to a NC.

    OR just let 'em all juice :coleman:

    Feel bad for Kownacki. The kid took a helluva beating from a cheat. Probably years off his life.
