calzaghe basically said show me the money.

I see now that the "he must fight pavlik, pavliks gonna crush him" rubbish has ended a new fighter has taken his place!

 

Who is saying Dawson's name right now if you think about it. Hopkins, Jones, Calzage, I am sure Tarver isn't itching for a rematch. Geln johnson is porbably the only big name that is anxious to get at chad.

 

Calzaghe was ducking Pavlik and now Dawson? It just doesnt end does it :-(

 

joe calzaghe is self promoted , so if team dawson offer calzaghe $10 million then the fight could possibly be made.

chad dawson is in the same situation that witter was with hatton.

 

Manfredo was all about the money and exposure to the casual fan in america. very clever marketin ploy. Bika was a mandatory. is calzaghe supposed to relinquish belts and remain inactive til the big fights come to him? come on fellas we all know how it works and how hard it is for a european fighter to break america especially if he is considered a threat.

you all need seriously to get a life. if you hate him that much them **** off, leave him alone and don't bither to watch him. It's that simple.

Or you could try another method which is to actually find a fighter that you like and support him. I know this might sound strange but it does happen.

 

He was offered a fight against him, so he knows who he is.

 

chad dawson is a very good and talented fighter and is a threat to calzaghe.

what he is not at the moment is a fighter that calzaghe can earn large ammounts of money out off.

team dawson could buy the calzaghe fight and make a large loss in order to further there fighters career.

this has been done many times in europe before by promoters.

 

Chad Dawson is a beltholder who was almost knocked out by an Adamek who had problems making weight, almost knocked out by a 39 year-old Johnson, ducked Diaconu and lost his title, and beat up a faded and ineffective Tarver who couldn't have beaten anyone in the Top 10 the way he performed. Dawson performed very well lately and proved he was a top world class fighter, if not in fact a little better, but the Champ he is not.

Until he beats Calzaghe or Hopkins or proves himself against the best of the rest, he is third best, at best.

In any case, Calzaghe will retire after his next fight. Why would he fight the still unproven third best light-heavyweight in his farewell fight, when that said third best light-heavyweight is unknown and doesn't bring any money to the party?
