My Mother actually attended the Erskine-Cooper fight at Haringey ('58?), the one which ended with Erskine drap ed over the bottom rope...she said seeing it live it was a shocking knockout...it looks bad enough on film!

There was a boxing program years ago...it was shown at 11:30 at night, called "Knockout"...and one evening it featured the Cooper-Erskine bout that you mention...the program ends with Erskine d****d over the ropes...a quintessentially conclusive knockout...very impressive it was. i must have been 13 or 1 at the time. A highlight reel accomplishment for Cooper...alongside that other accomplishment everybody knows about.

Isn't it ridiculous...clownish almost, that the next four letters after the "d" get the asterix treatment. This is the kind of pc garbage that I hope one day will be obsolete. It reflects so badly on our so called advanced civilization that such childish, liberal **** continues. Just an aside.

I wouldn't call a site being afraid of getting in bother from sponsors etc "liberal"

it is weak as hell though, whatever the reason.

The moronic censorship is more offensive and often more racist than the behavior it purports to avoid.
