On one hand fraizers pressure style and bobbing and weaving would give wilder nightmares but on the other hand wilder is 6'7 and is a devastating puncher. Who wins

Smokin' Joe breaks him down with relentless pressure and stops him late.
Yes he is much smaller, but he fights small and can make it very hard to Wilder to land anything on him, especially when he closes the gap.

Some might argue Wilder uses his height and reach to out box Frazier but lets be honest he's terrible fighting off the back foot, even Gerald Washington was out boxing him. Even the plodder Ortiz was able to cut the ring off on him at times. Only time I've see Wilder in control boxing on the back foot was vs Stiverne in their first fight and lets be honest Frazier sparred with guys better than Stiverne for fights and if Wilder is on the back foot he has no power in the right hand hence why Stiverne went the distance the first time.

Frazier isn't going to be intimidated, he's going right at Wilder, setting a pace Wilder can't match, if Ali can't keep Frazier at bay with movement and a jab, no chance Wilder does with his worse movement and worse jab. Plus Wilder isn't a physical fighter, he isn't tying Frazier up like Ali did, he isn't framing, pushing and keeping Frazier off balance like Foreman did, those skills simply are not in his arsenal.

Wilder is most effective when he has space to set his feet and throw. Uusally he does poorly early, waits for an opponent to tire and slow down so he can find the time to set and throw the right hand, but that isn't happening with Frazier who had ridiculous stamina. Wilder gets pushed back, get ground down and eventually battered. Remember when Molina had Wilder doing the chicken dance, well no dancing this time, Fraizer puts an exhausted Wilder to sleep with a vicious left hook.

When DW's faced someone who wasn't just shitting themselves in fear or dropping from the first punch, the fallback was athleticism.

He's still throwing hard and fast after round 6 and a lot of other HWs aren't. Fraizer is another strong endurance guy so there's really not much for Wilder here.

As a pro, short guys under six feet have never given Wilder problems.

In fact, Wilder has never had a problem knocking out people who are under 6'9". And Wilder has never had a problem knocking out people who weighed less than him.

Also, Joe Frazier was on the canvas 11 times in 37 fights, and tended to take two or three shots flush to the face in order to deliver one. Not a good strategy against Wilder.

I'd pay $1.50 to see AJ Fury fight in Manila heat.

    AJ's heart would give out.

Frazier KO. DW doesn't have the skill or technique to beat Frazier, even though much shorter.

love Frazier but he's just too short...

I know everyone is banking on that weave style to get inside on Wilder, may be it would....but I would bet my money Wilders height and reach advantage would play perfectly into his wild swinging style.

of course if Frazier could close the distance that would completely nullify the advantage, so in that sense this actually has the makings of a classic fight and stylistic matchup.

my biggest concern for Wilder is his feet are always too far apart, I think that is something Frazier could exploit

but I will pick Wilder KO 11 in a fight of the ages!!

Frazier if he will manage to go inside for sure.
Foreman too if he in his prime.

Wilder had 1 not old well known but supposedly out of shape Fury and 40 y.o Ortiz.
It is not like stuff champs from 70 ies had. Close fights etc.

Wilder has the puncher's chance, but that's it. Joe beats him up.

Wilder has the significant height and reach advantage but that is not going to matter because Frazier will be pressing him aggressively. Frazier will force him on the backfoot and work his body viciously. And Frazier easily has the head movement to evade Wilder's telegraphed shots. Those left hooks will eventually take Wilder out. Frazier KO

Wilder has the power to spark him out even quicker than Foreman but its only a punchers chance.

Wilder should beat a guy as small as Joe. He would have massive advantages but I don’t know. His ring IQ is so low and he doesn’t use his size as well as he should. I could see either man winning this one and can’t make up my mind.

I’m old so I’m going with the man from Philly, Smokin Joe. Love that guy. His left hook was a thing of beauty. Not sure the big man could stand up to Joe’s relentless attack.
