Joe was shot by the time he did this, Prime Frazier would have gotten 7.8 on the 100yard dash, lifted well over 200lbs, and probably set a new record in the pool aswell.

If I remember right, Holyfield did take part in 1990. I think he failed in the weightlifting at 270 pounds.
But in his big moment he actually beat Carl Lewis in an 800 metres charity run in 1990.

That should be a nail in the coffin of the "The fighters of the 70s were all-around better athletes than today's boxers".

Passionate boxers? Yes. Fighting spirit? Yes. Lean, disciplined and not as fat as today's US HWs? Yes.

Overall better natural athletic specimens? No.

Id be surprised if you found ANY boxer that would be good over 100 metres. Boxing is largely about stamina. They need good upper body strength, but most boxers have chicken legs,no lower body power.

its not that frazier was weaker than him, he just had no experience, when he push pressed the weight he had his technique all wrong and was lifting with his arms alone, while the white guy pushed off his legs and used his core.

Yup and none of them would do a good 100m.

Outside of Tua who was bulky all over Haye and Tyson legs are small in comparison to their upper bodies.

lot of sprinters have chicken legs as well you idiot.

Black people have much longer achilles tendons and more compact calves than any other race. there is a reason. Look at the Klitschko brothers - they have gigantic calves.
