Joe Frazier was about 100X the fighter Bert Cooper was.

Holy didn't have enough power to keep Joe off him, and any Warrior morphs attempted on the former's account would be met with sickening hooks, and Holy had a bad tendency to get hit.

Great, very competitive fight, but a game Holy gets floored a couple of times and then ultimately, horribly worn down and frustrated. Stopped in 11 at the latest.

Hope you've got a good weekend, too. And yeah, I got just as much room for error as anyone else... If not likely more.

Not sure if anyone sees it’s the ‘68 version of Frazier.

Holy wasn't strong enough physically in 1990. He let's Joe inside and even though Evander will have success finding Frazier it will be fool's gold. FOTY type of battle.
I really zee Frazier's body punches having an effect on Holyfield.

Blazing fight with Frazier coming on in the middle rounds. Essentially taking over possibly a stoppage late or a UD.

Frazier by a clear decision for me.

Are we talking 12 or 15 rounds though? In a 15 rounder, Frazier normally needed 2-3 rounds to get warmed up.

I am guessing in a 12 rounder, Frazier would start smokin rather early.

Anyway, i think Frazier is too strong, too tough and has too high a work rate for Holyfield. IMO Frazier loses the first 2 rounds but starts to take over. Holyfield's tendency to trade works against him here. I don't think Holyfield can keep him at bay.

Frazier close UD 12 in a hard fought fight.

Holyfield was getting into too many wars at this point in his career vs the likes of Stewart, Dokes, Cooper. Holyfield also hadn't bulked up at this stage in his career he was still round about 205-208.

I think Frazier wins in a war via competitive but clear decision and probably drops Holyfield at some point aswell.

I dunno Swag Frazier was pretty good in 1968 he knocked out Buster Mathis and beat Oscar Bonavena convincingly in their rematch. He was also just 1 year away from the stand out performance vs Quarry.

I'd still favour the 1968 version of Frazier personally Holyfield hadn't bulked up at this stage in his career and he was getting into alot of wars not sure that's a favourable trait vs Frazier.

I think getting in a war with Frazier is what wins this for him. People are rightly saying that Evander never fought anyone comparable to Joe...well, that works both ways. Bigger hitters than Joe couldn't stop Evander, and his engine never let him down. I think this fight is one of THE classic fantasy fights but I just see Evander having everything Joe has but a better chin..WAR.
