This is also a fight i would love to see. Many people believe Brewster would win because he was bigger and heavier then Frazier. But i believe Joe was too much for Lamon. He would not stop him but win a comfortable UD, he was simply the better fighter of the two. Brewster had an amazing chin and heart, but overall Frazier was simply the better man.
Ya know, Frazier didn't have the best chin and will be slugging it out with a bigger fighter who is more durable and probably hits harder. He never beat such a man. Frazier's style isn't helping him here, even if he has the better skills. The chance of an upset here is greater than Frazier fans dare to admit. Nearly TKO'd by Bonavena and obliterated by Foreman, Brewster if you watch him has better speed than either man, and clearly hit harder than Oscar. Its no accident that aside from Foreman you never saw Frazier in there with a big puncher.
Frazier's workate gets him the win, a likely UD over 12 rounds. Over 15, Joe 1971 version might get a late stoppage. Bonavena went the distance with Frazier twice. Lamon was tough and durable and makes Frazier work, but Joe was the better fighter.
That guy always post trolling ****. Anyone with half a brain can see that Frazier was the far superior fighter than Brewster. Brewster use to get the **** beat out of him at Wild card gym by James Toney and Jason Garven. I like Brewster but he is not beating Frazier. Hell, guys like Kali Meehan put a beating on Brewster. Frazier would kill him.
You are right - Frazier's wokrrate was amazing, while Brewster's low workrate was his biggest downfall IMO
