Joe Frazier from first fight with Ali against Roy Jones as a heavyweight in Ruiz fight. My prediction is Joe Frazier with KO in mid to late rounds.

Roy wouldn't have the pop to hold Joe off, especially the Joe that beat Ali, who was everything Roy was, but bigger, faster, harder hitting, and with a MUCH better chin.
A Frazier-Jones fight would probably be a lot like Fraizer-Bob Foster.
And by the way, Bob Foster would have beaten Roy Jones too.

What a terrible style clash for Roy. A quick puncher who swarms at the elite level. :patsch
Don't get me wrong, I don't buy into the RJJ not having punch resistance ever nonsense nor do I think the Ruiz win is anything other than a very good one. But, if that were a quicker heavy, Jones' chances would have significantly been lowered. One of the best heavies ever? Shiiiiiiiiiit. :nonono Frazier would be all over RJJ and brutalizing him early. Early knockout over the Ruiz RJJ. The prime RJJ, even weighing lighter might have lasted longer by being evasive, but he'd never last long, imo.

Hold on a sec. You can make an argument that Joe would beat Roy, but Joe was not "everything roy was". Completely differernt style fighters

Roy is a bit like Muhammed Ali, ie with speed but without the recovering ability and real heavyweight power, so Joe is going to catch up with him eventually. knock him over like he did with Ali BUT Roy wont be able to recover.

KO for Frazier, but also with a small chance that Roy will survive a late knockdown, keep his distance and scrape a split points victory.

I actually favor '03 Roy in many of these h2h matchups against HWs from previous eras but this would be terribly one-sided. As others have mentioned...RJJ had explosive power at 160 and 168 but he just didn't punch hard enough at HW to keep Joe from overwhelming him.

Frazier usually started slowly so Jones Jr. would probably win the first round, maybe even the second... Roy would then probably get hurt by a body punch around the 3rd or 4th...after which Frazier starts bullying him against the ropes and opening up with double and triple hooks. There's no way Roy makes it to the final bell and he likely pisses blood for weeks.

With all this said, here are some atg HWs that I'd favor '03 Roy against...

    Dempsey(UD)
    Marciano(UD)
    Walcott(SD)
    Patterson(TKO)
    Tunney(SD)
