How would Lewis cope with an onslaught from a prime Frazier ?

Would this fight play out simular to the Ali fights ?

I see Frazier knocking Lewis out in the 3rd round , Hell if Rahman can get one in im sure Frazier can !! Also there would be NO rematch glory for Lewis as he would suffer a 2nd KO ...:yep

Frazier TKO R4-5. Frazier is just too good with his inside game, Lennox had never really fought many inside guys, so he's be really thrown off, especially Joe Frazier.

i see lewis winning via 3rd-5th round ko in a fight that sees frazier having zero good moments

I'll take Frazier by late KO. What happens if Lennox gets caught with left hook late in the fight while exhausted. Can he he get up after using too much energy keeping Frazier off of him. Combined with the fact his chin wasn't as good as Ali's, I can't see him surviving against a prime beast like Frazier. Even though Lennox defended well against the left hook in his career, I don't think he can keep up the pace and successfully defend against it the whole fight as he becomes more tired and is worn down.

Reach would be a problem for Frazier, I don't think its quite as simple as "Foreman wins by wearing Lewis down with pressure"

It's Frazier not Foreman. I think this would resemble Frazier vs Ali I. Frazier wins UD over 12 or late stoppage/KO over 15.

Exactly. If McCall and Rahman can both knock Lewis dead, then a left hook from Joe would definitely put Lennox to sleep for the ten count. I know Frazier would tag Lewis eventually. Lewis beat similar fighters in Tyson and Tua, but neither one of them applied pressure like Smokin Joe.

Lewis absolutely murdered Tyson, Grant, Golota, McCall (rematch), Klitschko, Morrison, and others on the inside with right uppercuts and left hooks. And why should he be so much thrown off by the fact that Frazier can only fight on the inside? It didn't really get Tua far did it ?

Lewis TKO4. I like Frazier, but I just think this is one of the worst matchups for him next to Liston and Foreman.

We're talking best nights, though aren't we. Of course what you stated could even happen on best nights, but it's very unlikely. Even if we're talking about the Frazier from FOTC I see a peak Lewis beat him and a couple of other too. Frazier took rounds to fully get going and I think baring in mind Frazier is ultra-dangerous against most if he makes it deep into a fight, Lewis would be ontop of him early on ala Ruddock, Golota and Grant. Fraziers heart and pride takes him to the 4th before he's stopped.

Joe Frazier would have a very good punchers chance, but I feel that Lennox Lewis would eventually pick Frazier apart with his jab then finish him later on in the fight.

It seems I'm forever picking against Frazier lately, but again I must side with a bigger, stronger athlete. In this case Lewis.

Frazier is going to have problems getting inside and what's more is that unlike Wlad Klitschko, Lewis has an uppercut that could tear Frazier's head off.
Frazier has never dealt with the combination of size, ability and power that Lewis would bring.

    Lewis within 6 rounds.
