I think that it was a time when they were friendly to each other. After Manilla, Ali widely admitted how he respects Joe - maybe that was the factor which wormed them relations. But in later years, Ali was in the spotlight, earning big money and Joe was in his shadow. I think that is the cause of Joe's bitternes. Personaly, I have much more respect for Frazier than Ali.
