who's swarming style do you rate higher between these two all time great heavyweights judging off a footage and other accounts

    criteria:

    head movement
    Ability to close the ring
    Stamina
    ability to pressure
rhythm(who was less predictable with their head movement)
    constant body attack
    power
    and chin

Ali said Marciano was better than Frazier.

I'm not sure I agree, but they may be separated by only a whisker.

    - Frazier was twenty pounds heavier, a bit taller; he was the bigger man.
    - Marciano came with the right; Frazier with the left.
    - Both had tremendous stamina and could blast you out or outpoint top-shelf boxers over the championship distance.

But Marciano was losing to Walcott when he landed his storied right; Frazier was ahead of Ali when he sealed the deal with his 15th-round left hook. I'd say Ali was a more formidable opponent than Walcott.

So, all in all, I'd say Frazier was the greater fighter.

I was talking as far as their styles who's better at their swamering style not the who beat who but yes Frazier was a beat and gave Ali fits. And Walcott was no weak opponent himself even at the age he fought Marciano. No he was no Ali but he possessed great boxing skills had a lot of good tricks and had some power on him considering he was more of a defensive fighter. Shoot not just Ali felt that way even Frazier felt Marciano was a better fighter than him and would have beaten Ali as well not saying I agree but we'll never know

    Two different types of fighters.

Frazier was a rhythm fighter, an energiser bunny with a pin point left hook he could double up and land at any range. He weaved his head as much to transfer his weight from one foot to the other to launch a shot as opposed to avoiding a punch. If his head went down it was coming back up even if your punch was on its way.

Marciano countered his way in. where as Frazier led.

Marciano drew a fighter into him as opposed to chasing him out of the ring. He had no rhythm but that made him deadly because there was no pattern to follow. You moved in to reach him then he hit you. Frazier met you with a punch, it was already coming.

With Frazier what you saw was what you got. Marciano looked crude but there was method to the madness that could catch you out. rocky also had two hands and he did not swarm for the sake of swarming. Both could fight all day but only rocky made his openings. Frazier had one gear flat out, straight at you.

IMO Frazier. He was just so relentless in his attacks and had a lot more skill. There chins were equal. Marciana maybe had a little better stamina. Head-movement must go to Frazier with his 'bob and weave' tactics which he adapted from Henry Armstrong. Punching power would also have to go to Brockton Blockbuster.. how can you argue with that k.o against Walcott?!

P4P i think Marciano is the better fighter.

Can this overcome the 20lb weight difference? Maybe.

Marciano...The Rock made his style work for him...he was very awkward...he dipped...you really didn't know where the punches were coming from...he looks beatable ..and you always have a plan...but when you enter the ring..and Rocky imposes his will on you...your fight plan goes out the window..and then you go into survival mode...and try to survive his onslaught...
