If you think the Versailles Treaty had no impact on Germany financially you are a-- ,no I won't go there.

Let us say Hitler could not have garnered the support he did ,[and he was democratically elected,]if the Treaty Of Versailles had not left Germany a smouldering resentful country due to the punitive war reparations it was forced to give over.

Christ I learned that at Uni nearly 50 years ago!
Where was the armistice that took France out of the second war signed ?

Don't you think it was significant it was in the same railway carriage Germany signed in 1919 ? Along with being a hater, you are sadly lacking in background on the origins of WW2. And to think, on another post you lectured[when dont you ?] another poster on his lack of knowledge on the subject .:patsch

Do let us know about the smouldering resentment that abides in your own soul, , if there is anything I can do to alleviate it ,don't hesitate to let me know. Your Pal McVey.

He was inducted in Feb 43, and honourably discharged ( you might like to read that part again just so that it sinks in ) in June 44.

Now, you may well like to speculate on the validity of his reasons for claiming to have missed his ship to Europe in March 44 but the above part in bold, would render those speculations as worthless.

I know what happened to Robinson and his so-called memory lapse. I don't think you do though. Robinson claimed he went overseas giving exhibitions for the troops , he did not, he never left the US.

You really ought to do your home work.

Germany didn't pay the WW1 reparations until AFTER repeat AFTER WW2.

Now if you'd like to dream up some other nonsense, I'm always willing to be amused.

You may think he claimed to have gone overseas, his memory lapse was his reason for missing the ship that would have TAKEN him to Europe.

You might even know ( though I doubt it ) he was often in trouble during his 15 month stint because his fellow African Americans were banned from his exhibition bouts, and he rightly objected to that.

    Do try to keep up.

I think your age might have you confused with his tour of Europe after the war when he probably did entertain American troops over there.

Iv'e read several books on SRR so I'm up to speed .

" In late March, 1944, Robinson was stationed at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, waiting to ship out to Europe, where he was scheduled to perform more exhibition matches. But on March 29, Robinson disappeared from his barracks. When he woke up on April 5 in Fort Jay Hospital on Governor's Island, he had missed his sailing for Europe and was under suspicion of deserting. He himself reported falling down the stairs in his barracks on the 29th, but said that he had complete amnesia, and he could not remember any events from that moment until the 5th. According to his file, a stranger had found him in the street on 1 April and helped him to a hospital."

The catalyst for Robinson was the prospect of sailing overseas and the danger of a U Boat attack
You really are what they say , but not to worry, I'll take you under my wing. No doubt you need a friend., it will be a unique experience for you.

Robinson was hauled before the brass at Camp Sibert ,Alabama on March 22nd 1944.
Eleven days earlier a white woman had been raped and a black soldier was arested for it, ,[ he was later cleared when a white man confessed to the crime],
Louis and Robinson were waiting for the segregated bus to take them into town as it was late they decided to phone a cab, which was next to the white bus station, Louis phoned and on coming out of the booth was accosted by an MP and told to get over to the black bus stop the rest is very well known , well perhaps not to you.Suffice to say Robinson physically intervened between the Mp and Louis. Louis and Robinson were taken to the stockade.

    An officer defused the situation.

According to SRR it was only a little later that he tripped and hit his head in the barracks blacking out. He was admitted to Halloran Hospital on Staten Island and diagnozed as suffering from amnesia.

He reportedly did not recognize either his wife ,or his manager when they came to visit him.
A neuropsychiatric report on him was compiled andSRR was treated with sodium amytal but it did not have any effect.

    Keep up, I'm lapping you.

Hate is toxic & overwhelmingly exhibits the fear, loathing, insecurities & projected denial of the Dark Side of the source.

Hate the bad actions, not the people. I deeply decry evil-ish, cruel & selfish things folks like Ali did. But that does not obvviate his good intentions & very positive accomplishments too. So many tend to choose sides & are completely biased as to moral assessments because they will not see nuances of good or bad, in motivation & effect of actions. Which limits their accurate perception of reality credibility.

Ali was immature in many ways, but took the MUCH harder & principled path on the unjustified war. Though NOI endorsing (it would not need to be THEIR war) was a foolish reason given, & I have heard he was afraid of them. He still acted on his principles & suffered for them, when he could have had coasted & have no punishment, risk or controversy.

It is HATE to keep calling Frazier names & show a picture of him & say he looks like a *****. The photo shows him with classical black features, kind of thing Ali was vicious about-using racist hate to humiate Frazier-so I wonder about the poster's motivations. People absorb lots of racism & ***ism.

Tyson did many terribe things. I have no idea if he raped Desiree Washington, or anyone. He was adamand he was innocent of THAT crime, no good evidence either way. Calling someone on wrong acts is good, Tyson at least is repentent about his criminal (mugging, robbery) past, though is still dealing with his (drinking laregly) demons.

Every devil in history had some positive attributes.
Hitler put the German people back to work and built the finest highways in the world.
At the end of the day, he was still a *******- period.

I don't care about Ali's positive nuances. His shamelessly calling for the extermination of those who did not please him on racial and religious matters is enough for me. He did so as the HW champion and one of the most influential people in the world, particularly for young Black males. It should be enough to revolt any decent human being. He was a dredge of civilized society.

Ali did not resist the draft out of conviction. He did what he did out of fear of the NOI. He knew what it would do to him if he allowed himself to be inducted. No one but a fool would have aligned himself with that organization to begin with. It was nothing but a bunch of murderous thugs headed by the thug and petty criminal-the HONORABLE Elijah Muhammad.

Tell me do talk the way you write, using a hundred words where a dozen will suffice? And more to the point do you waffle on and miss the most important part.

Between March 29th, ( when SRR claimed to have fallen down some stairs in his barracks ) until he woke in Fort Jay hospital on Governors Island on April 5th the ship that would have taken him to Europe had sailed.

According to his file a stranger had found him in the street on April 1st, and taken him to a hospital.

The doctor who examined him at Fort Jay decided Robinson's version was sincere, and he was later examined by " military authorities " who claimed he suffered from a mental deficiency. ( An unkind person might say the same about............. ) doesn't matter.

Your audience must find you incredibly boring if you talk anything like the way you write.

Anyway if there is anything else I can educate you on, feel free to ask.

    Toodle oo.

Bill you are correct about the NOI, except that there were good people & positive things from Islam & black pride-distorted by the hateful & corrupt leadership & philosophy. Hitler was anothe rlevel entirely, due to what he was willing & able to do. But Ali was not merely afraid of the NOI, he acted out of principle-though some of his ideals were utterly cracked, following the NOI, Ali was no intellectual. And he showed plenty of personal hate & abuse vs. some opponents & Frazier.

But he did not just have positive "nuances". Besides the war stand, he showed courage in the ring, was kind to fans personally, was very good natured & charismatic as an ambassador for boxing, & later to the world & for peace. Inspirational in his struggles/refusing to submit to Parkinson's also.

I agree & do not minimize his negativity. But few times is it so black & white. Sometimes the ledger IS overwhelmingly eveil-like Don King. Any good he did for boxing is incidental, all was done for his own glory & wealth. A 2 time murderer who robbed about all of his charges blind. A true sociopath.

That was not remotely what Ali was like.

Ali liked murder on a grander scale than Don King did.
"All Black race mixers" takes in quite a few people- at least in the tens of thousands. Maybe more.

  13. Glad that happened. "Down goes Frazier" is the only credit he deserves.

I know all this you cribbed it from,"Pound For Pound",
If you find my posts broing why do you keep responding?

I've managed very well without your input so far,all your posts consist of is bile and venom.

Why not try and make a constructive an interesting thread that would be a first?

It would also be an improvement on some of your recent offerings, from which I offer the following samples.

" shove your ego up your dirt box"

"slither back in the water you pond life ,know nothing scum"

"Maybe Ali should **** in your mouth".

"Why don't you crawl back in your hole you two bob scum kunt"

How do you think an audience would find you . Mr Bile?
Is this Forum prescribed as anger therapy for you?

More presumptuousness from the resident professor.

I didn't get anything from Pound for Pound, though I am well aware the saying was originally bought into the language of boxing to describe the gentleman concerned.

Your obsession with my chosen language though flattering is of no concern to me. I'm just happy in the knowledge that yet again you are not in possession of the relevant facts, regarding SRR's army service record.

However don't let that stop you from bluffing your way through.
