Joe Frazier is my favorite boxer of all time. I`m certainly biased when it comes to Joe, no dispute. At the same time I have no problem admitting Ali was the greater fighter and that there are some heavyweights Joe would have problems matching up with.

Outside of the ring I believe Joe was a helluva man. When you see a man fight it reveals much of his character. Frazier was a tough, honest hard working person who earned what he had.

He was a throwback to another era of not just fighters but people in general. Joe was just old school. Not a phony bone in his body.

Joe had about as much respect from boxing fans all over the world and it speaks for itself. There`s always going to be the oddball opinion.

Oh yeah and I understand there starting the process of building Joe Frazier`s statue somewhere in the sporting district in Philadelphia. Well deserved.

Joe is my all time favorite as well and not just for what he did in the ring. He was a class act and an extremely hard worker!..And the whole statue thing..well its about time considering Philly put up a statue of Rocky Balboa a fictional character and not one of Frazier!!..But better late than never right?

Better late than never. Yes. It would have been better had they done it while Joe was still alive. He definitely deserved it.

No doubt!!..While he was alive!!??..Hell they should have done it 25 years ago...No fighter in the world deserves it more than Joe!

  6. Just don't like the sensitivity and jealousy man. The way he brags about walking, talking and singing in every interview. Talking how this was Karma for Ali. Then he passes away out of nowhere. Not right to make fun of a man suffering.

Your still reaching!!..And it wasnt out of nowhere his health had been failing him for awhile and its called old age. Nobody really blames Joe for still holding a grudge against Ali..its just the way he was!

Your right it does!..And Joe was banking on it..I heard from a good friend that when he was laying in the hospital dieing Joe was quoted as saying " I cant believe that Son of a ***** is gonna out live me!)..Ali never wanted it to stay that way forever and everyone knows that throughout the years he has felt bad about what he did...but whats done is done..No sense in crying over spilt Ali-Frazier.

  10. You know the family? They must ****en hate Ali.

  12. All trolling aside. Glad Joe got some sort of respect before he past. Heard Ang Lee is making a movie or something about the fight.

I know for a fact Joe had plenty of fans in the UK. I mean whats not to like about the guy. Ok so Joe wasn't the sharpest pencil in the box, but what you saw was what you got. I'd take his word over plenty of others, as bull**** seemed anathema to him.

Joe wasn`t educated and he didn`t speak like a scholar but he did have common sense. He definitely wasn`t stupid. He was no Leon Spinks.
