OK, this Frazier not at his very best here obviously but Iyo, up against Razor Ruddock of the Tyson fight rematch?
I's the Smoke who out pointed Bugner, still good enough to beat Ruddock?
    12 rounds.

You reckon Joe could stop him quick? Don't forget Tyson went 12.

The most likely out come imo. A tough rugged fight where Joe gets wobbled, maybe even dropped but gets the decision.

Rudduck early or Frazier on points. Rudduck had brutal power and Frazier was easy to hit

Ruddock by ko, I don’t think Frazier could take the same shots Tyson took

Frazier beat better, tougher guys than Ruddock. Frazier beat Bonavena, Quarry, Ellis, and Ali-all of whom were prime when he beat them and they were all very tough. With the exception of Bonavena there was no question that he beat the rest, and in the cases of Quarry and Ellis he was victorious pretty easily. I will acquiesce that Frazier has never fought anyone as powerful as Ruddock and won, but he was both tougher and stronger than Ruddock and had way better stamina.

Interesting match-up. Frazier is facing a formidable fighter in Ruddock. I think the styles clash would've been interesting. Ruddock is no Foreman, but still a very dangerous puncher with his "smash" This would've been a barnburner, with both men taking and landing huge shots. I think Ruddock would win the early rounds, but Frazier would come back in the middle rounds to even it up. Ruddock is still fighting valiantly as he did with Tyson but Frazier is making him fight at a pace he's completely uncomfortable with, no way Ruddock can sustain it. Ruddock is still putting up a fight, but the aforementioned pace is taking it's toll on Ruddock as he needs to throw far more leather, than he's used to just to keep Frazier off of him. Other contributing factors are his asthma issues, and most importantly Smokin Joe's relentless body attack. Round 9, Ruddock is ahead on one card, behind on another, and even on the third but his once devastating punches have been reduced to mere pawing. He goes for a half hearted Smash BOOM! Frazier hits him with a signature left hook. Ruddock tries valiantly to beat the count but it just ain't happening. Frazier KO9.

Ali was most certainly not prime.

right on with the details, I just don't think it would take Frazier quite that long

????????? Most people consider that one of his greatest performances. Ali looked so fast, mobile, and powerful, and his punches were sharp. However his stamina was not at its best. Anyway, you're getting hung up on the details.

I would agree it's one of his best performances (probably my favorite of his to tell you the truth) but he didn't have the legs, speed, stamina, elusiveness, etc he had 4 years prior.

He was still the fastest heavyweight in the the world despite slowing down some. Ali did fight Frazier differently than his 60s fights though. First of all, he comes out jabbing to the face very aggressively. Against Henry Cooper, Ernie Terrell, and Zora Folley, Ali did not get off quickly at all. Once Frazier took charge of the fight, Ali let himself get cornered and on the ropes before he knew how to use them to his advantage (something he'd never done before), and got pounded.
