It seems to me that Joe is either extremely underated as far as H2H goes (and some times in ATG rankings as well), or my PHILLY bias is not letting me see what some of you are seeing??? I have seen him favored to lose to a prime ALI (becasue although he won FOTC he could not deal with a prime ali), Louis, Marciano, Holmes, Liston, Lewis, the Klits, Tyson and I believe Tua??? While he think was favored against Dempsey and even w/Holyfield???

My Philly bias says he would likely lose to Foreman and Liston, but I would call him even or better against anyone else out there!!!!

So who exactly could he beat in your opinion H2H in primes????

    Ali
    Louis
    Johnson
    Marciano
    Holmes
    Foreman
    Dempsey
    Lewis
    Holyfield
    Tyson
    Liston
    Bowe
    Wlad
    Vitali
    Patterson

does he escape these 15 w/ a winning or losing record???

You're so right. He gets screwed because of the Foreman fight, I think. His chances against most of those guys are fair at worst. Somehow he gets more negative from the Foreman fight than positive for the Ali victory when the H2H comes up. :conf

I think he beats every boxer out there...Holmes, Ali, Charles, Walcott. I think he struggles with punchers though. I think many of them can spark him out. They have to be great ones though.

Frazier was 1-4 vs the best fighters he fought in Ali and Foreman, and was stopped three times in those fights. His best win after the huge 1971 win over Ali was likely Quarry, and Bonevenna. While neither were big hitters, Bonevena nearly KO'd Frazier.

Sorry, Fraizer's aggressive style, average chin vs. punchers, predictable style with only one dangerous hand, small stature / range is going cost him vs. bigger punchers. And that list is full of them.

Sorry, I think Frazier would have a clear losing record vs. those 15.

Mendoza, I'm afraid your credibility on this issue went through the floor when you claimed that Frazier had a suspect heart.

He is grosley under rated head to head, especialy against punchers.

His reputation never really got up after Foreman knocked him down.

Not to mention when he claimed that Frazier was carrying the New York State title rather than the World title.

I don't know how many fighters could have got up six times off that and looked ready to continue.
