Perhaps my favourite Frazier quote : " Being a fighter made a good living for me and my family. But that wasn't all. I loved the competitiveness, the one-on-one. I loved to stand on my own. People don't understand what an honor it is to be a fighter. It gave me the opportunity to prove myself, to stand up and say 'I'm the best. I matter. I am.' "

The former champion will finally get his comeback in order, when he takes on 6' 5" Oklahoma Heavyweight, Monte Masters. Monte Masters, 22-0-0 (19 KO's), looking to make a move in the heavyweight rankings, is planning to end 'Smokin Joe's' attempted return, in a scheduled 10-round bout, to be televised on NBC-TV. Joe Frazier has been offered $125,000 for the bout, while Masters is in line for $65,000. The former champion, is excited about his return. 'Boxing is my business' Frazier stated. 'After this bout, I have been asked to go to Puerto Rico to take on Ossie Ocasio in January 1982.' Joe added, 'After '2' quick bouts, I plan to go to Italy in March, and take on that big Ugandan Heavyweight Ali Ali. He's supposed to be 6' 8' and 270 lbs. Yeah, i have. Think its the same one. Both are singing 'mighty whitey' and think joes says he would kill a ****** in a streetfight. Think at the very end when Ali get out of the car and starts telling passers-by that Joe is in the car, nobody either bothered looking or disbelieved him
