That was a list of some of my favourite fighters in response to destroying a delusional wiesil in debate who was having his moment in the sun debating with a Team Elite General for the 1st time :yep

This thread is about Frazier and his heavyweight ranking so quit de-railing the topic just because you've got sugarpuffs for teeth. Your dreary mundane drivel is enough to send the entire forum to sleep in less than 60 seconds

Listen boy, i was courios why you had Clev in your top 10 when he's at an early stage in his career. Not my fault you had a freak out and feel you've been trapped in a corner. Im not out to get you.

Just for a laugh please explain how Liston is such a great win compared to Frazier. Are you saying Listons wins over Patterson are better than Frazier's win over Ali? Your logic is failed.

    7-9

    1
    Ali

    2
    Louis

    3/4
    Lewis
    Foreman

    5/6
    Marciano
    Holmes

    7/8/9
    Liston
    Tyson
    Frazier

    10
    Wlad ?

Wlad's not a lock for 10. On the other hand, he could finish higher. Depends what he does over the next few years.

So EVERYONE ELSE's performance vs a Post-Jail Ali is diminished down in your point of view? Are you actually attempting to take away what others have done and minimalize it? I think you live in a world of 1 person.

Frazier WOULD have been the dominant champion up to Foreman, if it wasn't for Ali. Who handed Ali his first loss, and who gave Ali a Fight of the Year performance, in their 3rd fight? Didnt Frazier win most of the mid rounds of that fight?

Frazier was the only 1 who's pushed Ali to the brink of exhaustion, to the point of wanting to retire in the corner... to rate Ali as #1, you have to rate Frazier closely behind....

You trying to diminish down the efforts of Frazier and the epic battles of Ali/Frazier because he was "watered down" post-jail, really disgusts me as a boxing fan. I dont think Ali would care for your disrespectful post towards his opponents and rivals who put their heart and soul in their performances, especially Joe Frazier. That man commands respect.

TBF Qawi isn't a 'very good win'. He's 5'5'', him fighting Foreman at heavyweight is a freak show.

You say Frazier is overrated...well i say that you my friend are a poopy head :-(

Expect to get alot of that kind of disagreement without any decent argument to back it up.You are correct in your assessment that Frazier is overrated (dont know about of all time) but definitely overrated.

"Naww mann he had a hell of a left hook"....."Guy was the original fighter to run up the art museum stairs in Philly like in the Rocky movies mann"...WTF does that have to do with him being an all time great i have no idea.

Take Ali out of the picture and the guys career is nothing special. In fact Ali was/is so special that he actually uplifts other people to mythic proportions and im from Philadelphia saying this.Joe was tough, had heart and good fighting spirit..but all time great??NO. (R.I.P Smokin Joe')

Yeah, but you can't take away what he did to Ali. He took a very good version of the best heavyweight of all time and ground him down with educated pressure to win arguably the best fight in the history of the division. Period. That's what makes him great...because if he wasn't great, he's not coming close to beating Ali that night.

Now...add in Foster, Quarry x2, Mathis, Ellis x2, Bonavena x2, Chuvalo, Machen and Doug Jones in a career that spans 37 fights and you have a guy who did a lot of good work in his career.

But just out of curiosity...who do you rate? Would love to do a hatchet job on one of your heros...

He took a Ali coming off of a 3 year layoff who was definitely not prime anymore and had lost a step or 2 and outpointed him in a 15 rd decision and then proceeded to get spanked the latter 2 fights by Muhammad.Listen...im not sayin Joe was a bum or was not a good fighter or champion but when u say all time great it should mean ALL TIME GREAT and alot of times people throw around terms and phrases like that and even "great" too loosely.

    Example
One of my heroes was/is definitely Mike Tyson..might be my favorite fighter of all time but do i rate him as all time great? No.Could have/should have been in my opinion but he lost focus at a crucial time and fell off.I still consider him great though although i admit im a little bias.

Another one of my favs is Delahoya who was the moneyman in boxing in his prime the same way Floyd is today and still took on the tough stiff challenges risking defeat in pursuit of greatness which i admire but was he a all time great? To me no but he was a hell of a champion though...a way better one than Floyd thats for sure.

Jack summed up Frazier's place in history some time ago. I can't remember where the post is, anyone know how to find it? It was something like Frazier won the biggest fight in HW history, against probably the greatest HW who ever lived and it was a tremendous post. Most of the ****tards posting here today have no sense of history or respect, especially when considering most if not all of them are out of shape ****ing idiots bravely sat at their keyboards, despite never having laced up a pair of gloves in their life. ****s.
