Byrd doesn't exactly dwarf Frazier ,he's no super heavy .But with a few big boy name's on his record ,could he frustrate Frazier to get a decision?
Or is it another wear down job from Joe ?
    12 rounds .

Byrd does well evading some larger fighters. Joe smokes him.

Byrd was pretty good small HW (former SMW), but he won't trouble Frazier. Joe by KO

Nothing Byrd would try could keep Joe away, the body shots would land and land and the hooks to the head eventually would also.

Byrd is very underrated, he outboxed David Tua and much bigger heavyweights, so he would have a chance against Frazier.

Even if Byrd might make 12 rounds, he´s not gonna win enough rounds. I don´t see him winning this. Byrd might make him look sloppy at times, with Frazier adapting by targeting the body of his slippery opponent.

This is the most likely out come .I don't see Joe destroying him but Byrd giving him the runaround for a few round's. Byrd had a decent chin ,he isn't getting blown away straight off.But the pressure from Frazier being applied does slow him down and the dreaded left hooks begin to take there toll .Byrd gets to the end but its Joe getting a wide points win .

Byrd isn't underrated but styles make fights, Tua was bigger, and may have had a harder hook, but he wasn't a relentless pressure fighter. Look what pressure fighter Iabeauchi did to Byrd, and I see the same results with him fighting Frazier.

I think that is they key- he can beat larger fighters who aren't mobile.

He was under rated. I'd give him a better chance to beat an Ernie Shavers like he outboxed Tua, I think he'd stay out of range, take advantage of Shavers lack of speed, ho-hum footwork.

As Holy stated, Tua punches around, not straight, Byrd took advantage of that, whereas Joe was quick to get in with that mean hook, and punched pretty accurate along with that constant bobbing and weaving.

It would be a decent fight, but I think Frazier would take over after 4th or so..easily.

Sounds right to me, although I obviously wouldn't be shocked if Frazier gets to him and takes him out late.
