Same as my one re Holmes fighting Frazier's men, really.

A 24 year old Frazier meets the 1978 Ken Norton and moves on from there right through to Michael Spinks.

A thought - Joe's passage here could be enhanced as there's nobody among Larry's lot,in my opinion, that would punish him like Ali and Foreman did.

He should be favored against all, but struggles with Witherspoon, Smith and C00ney.

Yes. C00ney could stagger him a few times but come up short in the end.

Prime Terrible Tim would give him a real fight.imo.

If C**ney caught him flush with his hook it might be game over he would be the second hardest puncher Joe ever fought.I see this as unlikely though, Frazier would be inside too quickly ,putting the tall Irishman under too much pressure to get his big shots off.

Shavers too could upset Joe's apple cart, anyone who can hit like him is dangerous, and he wouldn't have to look for Joe.
Earnie's result against Quarry doesn't bode well for the "Acorn" though, imo.

I don't know why this thread hasn't attracted more replies, it's a good one imo.

Yeah. Witherspoon could be Frazier's toughest one here.

Smoke eats C00ney's and Smith's cookies. Witherspoon and depending which Carl Williams show would be most interesting but Frazier prevails.

If the Truth could avoid joes hooks he would outbox him spoon depending what mood he's in could beat Joe and I think bonecrusher is risky.

Bonecrusher Smith would only give Frazier problems in the sense that he would hang on for dear life once Joe started Smoking. I don`t doubt he goes the distance and loses a wide decision. He couldn't beat Marvis Frazier.

I would think a guy like Carl Williams could give Joe a tough fight as long as he doesn`t get tagged too often. Joe probably grinds him down though eventually.

Frazier was a better inside man and body puncher than Tyson was so he'd cut down 'Boneclutcher' inside the distance.

Joe against Weaver would have been epic!

I suspect Frazier would not have been able to replicate Larrys success. He had a short lifestock and in all honesty Holmes faced some serious, huge hitters. ****ey, Smith, Witherspoon, Shavers x2...Eventually one of them could pull of the upset.

Even though Joe had a shorter lifestock than the likes of Ali and Holmes,he would n't have been as past it at 32 as he was in reality because he would n't have had those monstrous punishing fights with Ali and Foreman. As you say, though,he would be under risk from a big puncher.
