    That is true. Just the following year Foster went about 8 rounds with Ali busting him up in the process.

    He cut his eye , hardly busting him up.Foster was down 7 times in the less than 8 rds the fight lasted.

    Can't remember Ali been cut in many fights. I take it, it was from a punch and not a head clash?

    Foster's quick, hard jab could reach Ali. Most said then the cut came from a punch.

    Bob cut Ali with a punch; I think the only time in his career that he was ever cut, someone can correct me if I'm wrong. Foster had, IMO, a much better 'chance' against Ali than Joe. I just watched Joe-Bob again. Watch when Foster goes down; I've heard he strained or tore something in his ankle as he went down? Not a pretty sight but with all due respect, Foster was an ATG at LH!

    Foster was down but between those knockdowns he was finding Ali with clean punches. The jab and right hand as well. It`s notable because Ali fought a lot of good fighters and I don't recall anyone else ever busting him open like that. Not even Larry Holmes years later who had target practice.
