Smokin' Joe is my favorite fighter, but I have absolutely no desire to see the Cummings fight.

i thought cummings won it...with arm punches he did a good number on joe as i mentioned he nearly ko'ed joe 3 times during the fight however joe kept on coming...landed the left hook often but it had no type of snap on it to even bother jumbo..the draw was justified.....it was a fitting end because had he fought anyone with better punching technique it would have been a slaughter

Well, then I suppose Ali shouldn't have been such a dick back in the day.

When somebody gets it downloaded, pleas post it on Youtube. For some reason, my computer won't complete the download. Thank you.

Agreed. But the Ali of the Berbick fight would have just about beaten Frazier. Muhammad was n't quite as awful in that one as he was against Holmes. Although both he and Frazier looked really sad in 1981.

I maintain that sentiment towards Joe influenced the judges. Cummings took it by 2 - 3 rounds, imo.

Frazier looks horrible against a gateway opponent. Granted, he throws his legendary left a few times, but it doesn't land with the same authority. What's really sad is at the point Joe would traditionally "get smokin' ", he couldn't. I only watched this fight for completion. I've seen every Frazier fight I can get my hands on and this was no exception.

I just stumbled onto this on YouTube. Hadn't planned to watch it. Way better than the Ali 80's fights. Frazier just had no snap in his punches & Cummings seemed much stronger. Joe had some moments but it's good he wasn't in with a better fighter. I can go with a draw. What a sad time though.

I read something that Frazier had a comeback planned for 1985?? That's insane. Glad it didn't come off.

Jumbo Cummings? I remember him. He almost beat a young Frank Bruno. Had him almost out on his feet with one punch.
