Joe Frazier vs James Toney

I believe that you have touched upon the truth in the bolded, underlined part.

Add to that the fact that Frazier was a guy out of the top shelf of heavyweights, with a style that doesn't match up particularly well with Toney's and that's why we say what we say.

I agree that Joe may not stop him, that if Toney put his mind to seeing the end bell he would. He was after all a defensive master with a rocklike chin. But I can't envision him winning.
