Did Jeffries fight anyone or prove anything to even consider this a competitive match up ?

Frazier rhythm was beautiful to watch, no wonder his group, the knockouts were so popular with soul fans.
If any of those early heavyweights lasted 4 rounds with Frazier I'd be amazed.

He's 6-1-1 vs Hall of fame fighters. The draw came early in his career, and the loss when he was coming out of a 6 year retirement. Is that proof enough?

Frazier could only fight one way. That works vs smaller boxer types without a lot of power, but it gets bounced vs bigger, stronger, and more durable punchers.

Which top level puncher did Frazier ever beat that indicates he could last with Jeffries?

had to match the era's but this is a tough fight, Jeffries was strong but pretty good feet and hand speed next to guys like Chuvalo,Foreman,Bonavena and other strongish types. Frazier had a serious work rate and both men had stamina and late power.

This one could go into later rounds and is a pick em fight from what I can see -prime to prime

If you didn't notice I was using the sarcastic font on my comparison of Sharkey and Frazier.

My data was wrong. Its 7-1-1. I forgot to add Jackson. Peter Jackson was 200 pounds, which is about 5 pounds from a prime Joe Frazier.

Frazier was a low as 197.

If size and weight is an issue in this match up, that favors Jeffries.

you cant be serious you must be judging Jeffries by the Johnson fight. Its like judging ali for his fight against Holmes. Jeffries takes out smoking Joe as bad as foreman did.
