This fight apparently nearly happened in 1978. Knoetze was a huge banger, and may well have beaten Frazier then. Who wins in 1978? Who wins between a 1971 Frazier and a prime Knoetze (1977?)?
Kallie wouldn't be nearly as successful as Bonavena was in dealing with Frazier...after a few big punches and a few big misses over the first 2 rounds Joe would would be landing some wicked, thudding body shots..then it wouldn't be long till the hands of Kallie dropped and he'd have the big guy from S.A. on his knees for a 5th round stoppage.
If they fought in 1978, Frazier may lose. Manilla took a lot out of him. However, a prime 1971 Frazier beats him with a barrage of thudding body punches and left hook counters.
