i don't see either boxer starting fast , perhaps the reason norton started fast against bobick might of had to do with who had been working with bobick ?, even so i don't see norton starting fast in this fight i do see this being a tough fight for both and frazier always having the upper hand and if not stopping norton late winning by a ud

I already selected Frazier by stoppage on the pole, but didn't pay attention to the proposed time frames that were listed.. I still think that Frazier would have beaten Ken in 1973, but probably not by the same margin that he would have in say, 1970. Ken was really starting to come into his own by this point, and wouldn't be long before Joe would start to show signs of deterioration.... Good fight I think.

Fairly even match, though I don't think KJen could hold him off for 15rds. Joe by KO

I think Frazier has enough left to decision Ken in a surprisingly split verdict.

Both would of been far too close, for the fight to be any good. I pick a boring draw, with neither prepared to do what would be needed to win the fight.

    I will repeat myself:

The few early rounds Ken truly shines fighting a very clever and cautious fight, staying away from Joe never letting himself to get caught by that ominous left hook. However, he simply lacks the offensive power to hurt Joe, who keeps pressing and coming back for more.

From round 6th on, Joe's relentless bodyshots start taking a tool on Kenny Boy. I am not sure whether Frazier stops Kenny, but in any case he wins handily by decission

I dig Kenny boy, but he simply is not up to the task against Smoking Joe

Fraziers dynamite left hook would eventually find its target on Kennys shaky chin, and it would be all over.

Joe would have stopped Ken around the eighth. Ken would take an early lead, but eventually cave in to Joe's pressure.

Joe would always have beaten Ken,anytime up to,and including,1975. I'd actually favour Ken though,in a 1976 bout between the two,as Joe was shot to pieces after Manilla.

I can't see Norton beating Frazier as he always struggled against big punchers.

How come they never fought? Did their friendship get in the way of a fight?

I think late '74 after Frazier had lost to Ali and Norton had lost to Foreman would have been the most likely time for a fight if it were to happen.

P.S. Sorry for adding a response to an old thread!

This is how I see it. IMO, Norton hit a little harder than Ali, and had a killer body attack.

Frazier Stops Norton. Norton can't fight going backwards and he can't back Joe up that's for damn sure.
