Who wins and how? I have Bowe winning by a TKO/ RTD in the middle rounds. BRUTAL fight.

Riddick Bowe, though a more modern fighter was wasted talent, he had size, boxing ability, some speed, and could hit with either hand. But maybe like many greats, mental illness set in, untreated, and it affected the continuation of a long potentially great career. Smokin Joe Frazier was a more proven commodity, with victories over such greats as Eddie Machen, Doug jones, Oscar Bonavena, Jerry Quarry, and of course, a come backing Muhammad Ali in 1971. Joe would be slipping the jab of Bowe, and digging his left hook deep into the mid section of Bowe, meant to limit the mobility of the taller fighter. The fight would go 15 rounds as Frazier stays on top of Riddick, not allowing him to breath. Bowe does not have the punch of a prime George Foreman to stop Frazier's forward progress. Joe by unanimous decision.

Regardless of Joe winning of losing, I am positive this is his toughest match next to Foreman, since Bowe would be by far the strongest he had ever faced, leaving George out of the picture.

Joe gets jabbed silly early on then floored in five rounds by the uppercut, but keeps chopping Bowe down. In the sixth the tide begins to turn as Bowe is knocked down briefly. Bowe and Joe put on a terrific infight, but Frazier is really punishing the body. Bowe's hands start to drop and he gets hit even more than usual. By the 12 round Bowe is useless, not sure what to do anymore as it seems everything he does gets countered, most often by that sickle hook. The ref stops it with him on his feet but with knees shaking and eyes clouded.

I'm not sure if Frazier could handle Bowe's punching power. If he could, I pick Frazier.

The Ali fights were incredibly grueling overall. It doesn't get much tougher than that between two warriors.

Agree it is a grueling matchup tho, absolutely.

Bowe lost to Holyfield,,,he'd lose to Frazier and badly. In a 15 round fight Bowe fads like a chinese shirt in hot water.

Frazier has to dig deep for me due to the size of bowe but i think Frazier would stop bowe around the 11th to 13th rounds also I feel Frazier would be ahead on the scorecards by that stage on the contest

That fight was very close, plus there was the fan man incident which gave Holyfield time to recover.
Plus as you've phrased it, you make it sound as if Frazier was a better boxer than Holyfield, which he wasn't.
Both Bowe and Holyfield would beat the **** out of Frazier.

I know that Joe was not one of those Juvenile phrased H20, p4p fighters, that made up phrase is too silly just like Mikey Tyson is. Bowe was just a flabby fighter that lacked mental toughness. Joe Frazier had a better resume.

Frazier has to survive a bad first few rounds, having to climb up off the canvas. By the tenth, Joe's steaming into Bowe and he's lucky to see the twelfth.
