Let's be real and forget the media hype and get past confirmation bias. Marciano was decked twice and never defeated in 49 fights. Frazier was decked 11 times and defeated four times in 37 fights. Marciano had dynamite in both hands; Frazier was essentially a one-dimensional left-hooker. Let's not forget that we now know the Frazier was blind in his left eye. What Foreman did to Frazier twice, Marciano, Dempsey, Lyle, Louis, and many other fighters would have duplicated. Joe was an exciting warrior, but his reputation has been blown way out of proportion.

Do you think Marciano could have beaten Foreman and Ali?

This fight could go either way. Both great warriors.

Im not sure it`s accurate to say that Marciano was stronger than Frazier considering Joe fought bigger opponents. I don`t think Marciano could`ve moved Foreman any better than Joe did or attempted to do. Same applies to the chin department. Rock just never faced anyone than could bang like Big George, who was in his murderous prime.

I don`t see either fighter scoring an early KO. Joe was a slow starter and hell Rocky let Don ****ell get into the 9th round. I`d expect it to be a battle of attrition where heart and conditioning are huge factors.

Has to be a great fight. I`d lean towards Joe Frazier because of his more precise, accurate, inside punching. Probably Frazier by decision or stoppage on cuts.

Yes, Mr. Magoo, I think that Marciano would have beaten Foreman and Ali. I also think that Jersey Joe could have beaten Foreman and Ali. Consider the fact that Jimmy young, clever and tricky like Jersey Joe but a powder-puncher, beat both of them. Yes, I know that Ali got the decision, but that was one of the worst robberies ever. Heck, Young the powerless knocked Foreman down and won almost every round against Ali.

Hmm...If Rocky can't get rid of Joe before the Championship rounds, Joe wins it.
Marciano had a great work rate and they both have amazing stamina but Joe would be on the score cards because of his accuracy.

Frazier only fought one decent heavyweight under 200lbs Quarry ,and he stopped him on cuts both times. I like Marciano to stop Frazier he had better two handed power, and a better chin, imo.

And that was a prime Ali?:patsch

Ali won a unanimous decision against Young who spent half the time head outside the ropes.
Young did not have a winners mentality and that is why he lost so many fights he could have won.

McVey, you exaggerated when you said that Young spent half of the fight with his head outside the ropes. Young gave Ali a boxing lesson and got robbed.

I favor Rocky's two handed battering approach to Joe's lone weapon. Rocky's defense was also better

I was just watching Foreman vs Luis Pires. George looked awful and I think Joe wouldve had an excellent chance of whipping George at that time

Frazier on march 8, 1971 would´ve beaten a Joe Louis, a Marciano and even a George Foreman. He was strong, fast and ready to die in the ring.

who's being negative. nearly every other person who wasnt a judge and under pressure, gave Jimmy the fight.

didnt u hear the concern in Cosell's voice? How about when Howard asked Norton who he thought was winning the fight, and Kenny responded he was taking the fifth?

and if you're honest with yourself, u will likewise conclude Jimmy won that fite hands down

Frazier's speed would be a problem for Marciano but I think Marciano's inside fighting ability and smarts wins the day.
