Joe Frazier vs Wlad

I see Foreman - Frazier. Or Vlad - Chanmbers.

Joe gets busted up pretty bad. No contest.

 

The biggest difference between Frazier and most of the guys who have fought Wlad today is this - Joe Frazier gave 100% effort in every fight and he trained hard. On paper I think Wlad beats Joe by UD, however frazier would be the most aggressive elite level HW Wlad has ever faced. That being said Joe for sure has a punchers chance, and he would definitely make Wlad throw alot of punches and keep him on the move. I have to lean towards Wlad based on physicality and Emanuel Steward in his corner, but the fight damn sure would not be boring. I say its about 65/35 in favor of Wlad with Joe having a good chance of landing that nasty hook that would rock Wlad and maybe knock him out.

also Wlad - Peter I ... substitute Peter with Frazier who could bang, was more accurate and aggressive ... so why no contest?

Vlad by knockout. I see children fantasizing.....................Frazier would have no chance Vs. Vitali or Vlad, but they hate Klitschkos because Klitschkos keep beating up all their heroes!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!

Frazier got rocked by guys not as good as Vlad, guys like Bonavena who had him ready to go in one bout but blew it, and Ramos, who was not quality of Vlad by longshot. If Frazier gets to work inside, he wins. If Vlad keeps him tied up, he wins. If Vlad catches him, Frazier is done. I know I sound indecisive, cause it's a good match up, interesting one. Ref would mean a lot, Ali survived by holding and holding, and not breaking in second fight especially.

I would have said Frazier year ago, but I have to give Klitschko nod here now. I know a lot of people hate Klit bros. but i think they now deserve credit for proving selves, and erasing disgraces like Brewster fight. Vlad still has weak chin, but has learned how to survive. Give Manny Steward lots of credit on that.

At 5.ft 10 200lbs one bad eye and just a left hook as a weapon worth a damn, Frazier is nothing but another product of the Ali "effect".

 

If Henry Cooper can knock down Ali, then Wlad would knock Ali the **** out...see what i did?

 

as if Frazier comes anything close as style or size to Sanders and Wlad remained the same fighter as he was 7 years ago.

 

Tough style match up for Frazier, the jab and grab worked well for Ali in their second fight and Wlad is even better at it than Ali.

But the Frazier from "The fight of the Century" was an absolute beast. His energy levels, intensity and head movement were incredible and would give any heavyweight serious problems, few fighters have ever reached such heights in terms of performance.

Question comes down to if Frazier can survive the first half of the fight without getting stopped or taking too much punishment. Wlad tends to grind down fighters who come to him and force him to fight, unlike Haye. So we will not see such a passive Wlad as we did against Haye as that version of Wlad would get KO'ed, he has too put some pressure on Frazier to discourage him from simply overwhelming him.

Hard pick but I always go with the guy with the style advantage so I pick Wlad to stop Frazier late. Frazier does well and never stops forcing the fight and pressures Wlad throughout which is why he get's stopped and not just simply out pointed. Wlad would be seriously busted up after this fight and look like the loser but he survives and stops a brave Frazier.

 

^ Me too. I think it leans towards a Wlad decision but he'd be beaten up bad - Joe won't let you win cheap. Sadly, against Vitali on the other hand, it'd be Foreman Mark II.

it would be a short nice fight. how in hell will frazier reach wlads chin, frazier is 5.10, so be realistic, wlad is faster, way better power, better ability, better corner, more ring generalship. i see wlad landing the jab at will, but frazier always going forward and the being streched by a monster right hand

 

Frazier would look like a drunk midget swinging his wild, looping hooks frantically trying to land... which of course never happens.
