Joe frazier was better than marciano in everything

I feel Rocky has the style edge over Frazier in a fight. All this about a "195 pound Walcott dropping Marciano" is nonsense talk. I guess Joe Louis is a bum too? Walcott could friggin punch. Better than Quarry, and Ellis I imagine. Quarry hurt Joe in their fight too. In fact, Joe was hurt fairly often in fights. Even against Terry Daniels he said that he "Felt his punches, and had trouble with fighting a smaller target." I imagine he was being nice, and I also imagine that he can't go to the body and head as efficiently against a target that's more in a ball and lowered to the ground. Can anybody show me an example of Marciano looking more hurt or really rubbery legged than Frazier in a fight? Forget about the Foreman fight. We all know he was a murderous puncher.

I guess the smaller man syndrome is being over-played. The guys that dropped him were both conveniently under 200 Lbs. One of them happens to have the most KO's in the history of boxing and an astonishing record of KOing men over 200. And the other one had Louis down 3 times and had 245 pound Abe Simon saying he was the "hardest puncher he had faced."

In close quarters head to head fight I think strength, power, chin, and stamina are more important factors than size. Size matters when you've got the ability to get out of reach and stay at a distance. Nobody thinks Marciano's power isn't a threat if he were fighting Ali... just that Ali could move out of way and play for keeps jabbing at Rocky. Against Frazier, this won't matter. That's why I give him the edge.

To be absolutly certain frazier woulld have to have to at least knocked out some great fighters. as much as I love frazier tell me exactly how many linear heavyweight champions he KO'd? bonavena had frazier in bad trouble, was the bonavena who was schooled by an old zora foley beter than walcott and charles?
