Frazier was on the canvas in his first fight more than Rocky was in his entire career. I think Rocky's chin was clearly superior, and I also think their defenses were different and they were more vulnerable to specific punches rather than one guy being so much better at making fighters miss. I also think Marciano had the better stamina pretty strongly. Marciano'a stamina was remarkable. If you're not giving Rocky edges in stamina and chin I too would probably think Frazier would out-work him.

I just see Rocky as a much better Bonavena and look how close those fights turned out (Some believe Oscar won the first fight).

    Yes, that's what I'm saying.

And while I might not have your self-declared vast knowledge on the subject, I know a bit about the game.

Frazier had a good bob-and weave game, but Marciano was deceptively hard to hit.

Both men were willing to take one to land one, but overall, while close, Marciano had the better defence.

    False.

Look up the meaning of 'EVERY.'

Well Rocky was still standing at the end of every

    fight.

It's easy for your face to look good if you bow out after two rounds.

    Or five.

    Actually, he didn't.

    Their defences were about even.

With Rocky having a slight edge.

  9. george foreman would give rocky the biggest beating of his life, muhammad ali would destroy the face of rocky.
Joe frazier would have been undefeated in the era of marciano.

These are all matters of speculation.

That means we don't know the answers with certainty, and we have our opinions.

You have yours, and I have mine.

In my opinion, Your first statement is partially correct in that George would probably beat Rocky.

But by no means with certainty.

If it goes past six. George is in for a hiding.

Your second statement is largely true.

And your last is probably gilipollez

This statement contradicts your earlier claim to be very knowledgeable about the sport.

    I now worry about you.

I'm not sure which is more disturbing.

    The post above.

Or the fact that you have made 150 posts so far...

...even though you joined the forum less than 32 hours ago.

Marciano certainly has the better two fisted power. And the better power in general, his right hand is certainly more powerful than anything in Frazier's arsenal.

Marciano is also in most peoples minds (including mine) the best conditioned HW of all time so chalk up another one for Marciano.

Marciano also deserves to be regarded as the more durable, seeing as he was never knocked out or even put in serious trouble unlike Joe. It's a bit more unknown than Frazier's though to be fair as he never faced a fighter of George Foreman's power.
