Yeah.It was clear he wanted to go on as he did protest to Futch.Nobody had more heart than Joe.****ing gladiator. But by the end of the 14th,he was getting battered and his left eye was almost closed so Eddie had probably seen enough.I don't know if this is true, but there were rumors abound that Joe didn't forgive Eddie for stopping it.If anyone could clear that up out there,it would be greatly appreciated.:good

    that's what i'm thinking

1)ali was hurt all over but could see and fight through it
2)frazier was BLIND in both eyes and was fighting corner to be let out

frazier wanted to fight on, ali wanted to quit. that should have been a draw

Nah,Ali would have come out.He wanted to quit when he was blinded by the substance in the early rounds against Liston, but Angelo insisted and he came out.

respectfully disagree. IF (big if) ali came out, frazier would have kept swinging until ali or his corner threw the towel. it was a legit win but still, frazier deserves all the credit in the world

I think Ali would of came out for the 15th but it wouldnt be as epic unless Ali collapsed which was a highly likely but if I had to guess Frazier would of probably close the distance as best he could since he couldnt see and Ali would of been holding for the entire 3 mins.

But Frazier was the one taking a beating in the second half of round 14.And like I said, when Ali faced adversity before,he proved his mettle and came out to continue the fight(Liston 1)even though he could barely see the punches coming.I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree:good.I completely agree concerning Frazier deserving the credit, though. He's one of my favorite fighters ever and the Thrilla is one of the biggest reasons why.He rightfully and universally gets all the credit in the world.:goodI know I've never seen a better heavyweight fight personally,as well as a bigger display of heart by both men in that fight:good.

    dialisys and pissin blood

    kinda bad combo.

think of the meldrick taylor vs caesar chavez fight.

    chavez had him pissin blood.

the man was never the same.

i beleive ali is a great fighter.

i beleive his career was better than fraziers.

but in that last fight. ali got the worst end of the beatin

    Equal opportunity whupping.

Ali took the worse damage overall, but in terms of the action of the fight, dished out a bit more than he took.

Just watched the whole fight. Wow frazier got one hell of a chin. How many times he got tagged but he was still standing there throwing punches.

    Great fight!
