He did no such thing. Joe Frazier`s legacy was/is intact as a great warrior. He fought the best fighters around in a good era both before and after this period.

Wait hold the phone! 18 rounds...whose fault was that? Could that have been Ali`s own decision? Joining a murderous religious cult and letting them use you had consequences.

Do you really think Ali was suspended because he a member “of a murderous cult”?

That is perhaps by far one of the most idiotic ways to blame Ali for losing his boxing licens.

The evil heartless buffoon had the audacity to say he disagreed with shooting and dropping bombs on innocent people!

I'm talking about his legacy as champion. For two years of which he never fought a ranked contender.
During that time March9th 1971-Jan22nd1973 Ali fought
    Ellis no5,Mathis,Blin,Foster no5,Chuvalo,Quarry no2,Patterson no5,Bob Foster.
    = 4 Ranked contenders.
Frazier was champ from 1970 Feb16th when he unified in the Ellis fight until 22nd Jan1973 when Foreman beat him.
During those 3 years he fought 2 ranked contenders.

He just ran into a goddamn monster. Anyone fighter in history except prime Ali would lose against that Foreman.

I'm talking about his time between the two fights I mentioned. Frazier never had a plan B ,he was a one dimensional swarmer,he came at you ,and kept coming at you ,firing left hooks until you fell ,quit,or were rescued by the referee. Knock him down he got up and came back in,like those clock- work mice kids used to wind up and watch run into the skirting board time after time.Huge heart , but limited to one rudimentary style because of his physique.

Plenty of heavies of later eras should be favored over Foreman.

Foreman was used to being the bigger, stronger man, these days there are so many guys bigger and stronger than George I wouldn't even know where to start.

A good starting point is someone at least 6'4 and 240+ who has shown a good durability. Someone who can outmuscle Foreman and push him backwards.

Right now maybe Hrgovic, Dubois, Joshua, Yoka, Pulev, and Usyk.

Joe Joyce might be able to pull it off as well.
