Joe Frazier's resume is underrated

It all sounds fun, but Sharkey and Schmeling were better fighters than Walcott. What makes you believe that Walcott is better than them?

 

Norton would beat all 4 of those guys.

Sharkey and Walcott certainly lose. Norton's style is horrible for Sharkey and Walcott picked up a loss from practically ever good fighter he fought.

Baer has a punchers chance but would not be the favorite. More than likely gets outboxed like Schmeling.

 

It's at least arguable who would win and most of names mentioned have better careers than Norton.

 

I'll agree with that however I don't think any of these guys would be the favorite. As far as consistency goes Norton was much better than any of them.

Which of them has a win as good as Ali?

 

It might be close, but it's not top 10.

It's not just about 1 win. Norton also has a win over Ali, that does not mean he's top 10.
It's not just 1 bout, but one's career as a whole. Plus his impact on the sport.

Ali, Louis, Holmes, Lewis, Tyson, Foreman, Liston, W.K, Marciano, Fury, Dempsey, Johnson, Holyfield - all have had better careers than Frazier.

 

You literally said "he is nowhere near top 10, he's 11-15". 11 is near 10.

Frazier's #1 win pisses all over any of there's. Aside from Holmes and maybe Marciano, so does his top 3. Aside from that he has the better résumé than all of them.

Johnson, Fury and Dempsey? get real.

 

You're obviously a Frazier fan, but the fact is he only has 1 win over a slightly passed his prime Ali. It's a good win, but not enough to make him a top 10 HW.
He doesn't have enough titles defenses or a good enough resume.

 

He has a good résumé.

Ali, Quarry 2*, Ellis 2*, Bonavena 2*, Mathis, Machen, Chuvalo and Foster is an exceptional résumé. Definitely better than the likes of Johnson, Tyson, Liston and Marciano.

 

Apart from Ali, neither of those were world class boxers. Some of them were good/decent, but definitely not better than what Tyson faced.
Tyson would have destroyed all of them on the same night.
And Frazier ain't got many title defenses or fights.
