Joe Freizer was very strong

    Frazier was very “strong” in so far as his aggressive go forward style, ability to keep coming while taking shots and his maintained relentless hard punching attack all the while.

    I don’t know that he demonstrated literal, sheer physical strength in the ring so much.

    Another fighter often associated with being very “strong” was Liston but he was the same as Frazier in that regard.

    I don’t doubt that Sonny was literally quite strong but it wasn’t really his MO to directly apply his strength and manhandle his opposition.

    In the two Williams fights, but for one sequence when Williams landed some hellacious shots in fight 1, Liston simply kept coming, boxing and punching through the Big Cats formidable offence.

    Clean as a whistle destructions both times around.

    For all boxing related intents and purposes, Sonny was an exceptionally “strong” fighter and within that same realm, Joe was a very “strong” fighter also.
